Bush Buddies (Director's script)

With the little girl being piggybacked, we are close up with a hand-held camera in front of dad and daughter on a casual hike as they walk through bush, dodging branches. The dad says……

Did you know if we were lost and starving… we could actually eat a real snake…?

Dad keeps plodding on bravely and smiles to himself saying… Absolutely. Mmmm I can taste the juicy softness now.

The girl looks pretty suspicious about this, then obviously thinks of something… But what about the venom… you couldn’t eat the head?

As she says this, dad puts her down on a big log and sits down next to her as he takes a bag of TNCC jellies out of his backpack, examines the pack and says…

… let’s see no artificial colours no artificial flavours …
sounds pretty non-venomous to me.

[Close up of little girl] She reacts giving him a look as if to say “smarty” and as he is saying this they both take snakes out of the bag and stretch them out with relish.

DISSOLVE TO NEW LICORICE PACK AND CHEWS ON GRASS

The Female Voiceover says… The Natural Confectionery Company doesn’t just have jellies, it has chews and licorice too…

We go back to dad and daughter back walking through the bush dodging branches, with her on his back. Dad is still holding the pack and the little girl takes out a crocodile as dad says…

Hmmm… a non-venomous crocodile… the rule there is …

She pulls back from him and says quickly…

…eat it before it eats you….

She quickly pops it in her mouth and they both laugh.
